April Lockhart
April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th day of July, started taking guitar and piano lessons at age seven. She was interested in writing songs was ignited. When April was 12, she composed her first single, Different. When she was 14 April, she spent a lot of time writing lyrics and perfecting her music skills. In the following months, April started going across NY and LA with her Dad so that they could both write songs. April began also to incorporate additional topics that were related to of her friends dealing with such things as peer pressure disabilities and even teen suicide in the song"Take" my Hand. Lockhart is also gaining a growing popularity as a lifestyle influencer and is employed by the renowned Clean Beauty company Ilia. Her birthplace didn't come with a left-hand, which is what makes her who she is. But that's far from the full story. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook her disability. However, it doesn't make it a point to emphasize the issue. The point? We are all more than the physical person we are. Our identities are multifaceted and include a myriad of aspects. Lockhart said via video that she didn't want to be defined by her disability. She doesn't wish to become an advocate for disabled people who only speaks about it. There are a variety of aspects to Lockhart. But it does not affect my daily life. I continue to do my normal activities and I've adapted to my disabilities. In addition, I see it to be a vital component of my life. Lockhart, a real source of inspiration for anyone who wants to be self-accepting, is on a long process to attain this. She admits that she has gone through phases where she felt insecure about dressing in certain styles that exposed her arms. She is able to wear anything she'd like, and happily shares pictures of her dressed in her favorite outfits. For her, self-love is a long journey.
