Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first gymnast to earn a 10. competing in the Olympics. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi later the Romanian gymnastics instructor when she was six years old. The first time she competed at the national junior championships of 1969, finishing 13th. She was the winner in the year 1970. At her first international event in 1972, a pre-Olympic junior event for countries of the communist bloc she won three gold medals. In 1973 and 1974 she was the all-around junior champion. When she made her debut as a Senior in 1975, she beat Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champion, winning four gold medals and one silver. She took home the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first woman to perform a backward double salto as a dismount from the uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The story of Carol Wayne in the world of entertainment began as a teenager. Together with her sister Nina Wayne, she joined traveling entertainment shows known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol started her career in the entertainment business as a teen. In her early years, Carol began as a figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. It featured dramatic ice-skating shows.
