Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974 Aviano Italy), American actress. Her fame is for her naive roles that are engaging and relatable. Adams was born and lived in Castle Rock Colorado, as the youngest child of seven. Her father served in U.S. service in Italy. The mid-1990s saw her begin professional dancing and acting with the Boulder Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. Later, in Minnesota in a small local theatre she was chosen to be a part of an unrealized documentary film about beauty pageants titled Drop Dead Gorgeous. After moving to Los Angeles, she pursued acting after her film debut in where she played a dizzy but friendly contestant. From June 1951 until September of 1962, she was engaged to actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Her film career started in mid- 1940s, after she was accepted by MGM. Her name was found by Norma Shearer. She starred as Norma in a few popular movies through time, like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho which was released in 1960 as well as Living It Up, a Martin and Lewis film released in 1954.
